Gastonomy – Booking.com HQ Amsterdam

Scheduled to be completed in 2021, Booking.com is building a new headquarters in the vibrant heart of Amsterdam. The new 65,000 m2 campus will be located on the historic water front on Oosterdokseiland near Central Station, the central hub of the rail network in Amsterdam.

Gastonomy is working on the Booking.com headquarters as a project manager in collaboration with the Booking.com management team, Developers ODE, BPD, Moss Amsterdam and architect UNStudio.

The Booking.com Headquarters is an iconic architectural jewel, in the heart of Amsterdam at the cultural crossroads of Europe.

The Booking.com campus is the last sub-plan of Oosterdokseiland and is being created as a social hub specifically designed by UNStudio to encourage interaction and collaboration, both in living and in the work environment.

“The design for this fully integrated new urban campus is envisioned as a highly multifunctional living and working environment, enriched with special amenity and public programmes,” said UNStudio Founder Ben van Berkel. “The urban gesture of the building weaves together with the existing streets, while the east side of the building will become a recognisable emblem for Oosterdok.”

For the Booking.com Campus in Amsterdam, UNStudio designed the urban approach and architecture, home of many new office buildings and public buildings, including libraries, hotels and a range of restaurants and cafes.

The interior spaces such as welcome areas, restaurants, service point, balconies, auditorium, event space, workspaces, breakout spaces and meeting rooms, were individually conceived and designed by teams from CBRE Design, HofmanDujardin, i29, Linehouse, Studio Modijefsky and UNStudio.

Greenery design by Moss, carpet design by Scholten & Baijings, wayfinding design by Mijksenaar,  hospitality design by Enbiun and light specials design by Studio Rublek.

CBRE Netherlands is responsible for the overall project management and supervision of all other related works in close collaboration with Royal HaskoningDHV for core and shell
